What I Want You to Know:
I write, perform, and produce poetry, theatre and hip-hop events that spread knowledge about HIV/AIDS.

Why I think it's important to challenge HIV/AIDS stereotypes:
Stereotypes should always be challenged. They need to be challenged in entertaining and extensive ways that reach the public at large. That's why projects like this one rock.

How HIV/AIDS has affected my life:
HIV affects my art and my life all the time. We need to find a cure. We need to make medicine available and affordable. We need to give this vital issue the attention it merits.

How I contribute to the fight against HIV:
I use my art to raise funds for research and support services. I offer free tickets to events I produce to communities in need. Sometimes I wonder if I'm doing enough politically and socially, but I hope that my artistic work will help create action through knowledge and passion.

Why I get tested:
I get tested regularly when I am sexually active. I also try to get tested when I start a new serious relationship.
