When I Found Out:
November 7th, 2000. People with HIV just want to live, love, and go on with their lives. They are normal people, most of whom didn’t chose the life they live nor wish anyone else to live the life they have been destined to.

The biggest challenge I deal with living with HIV:
Accepting that HIV is not a death sentence, but a reason to LIVE EVERYDAY TO ITS FULLEST. Accept the LOVE of another without being scared of being hurt!

Ways I am treated differently because I have HIV:
I have been turned down for dates, but for the most part, the only one who treated me differently due to my status was ME. My family, friends, and associates were amazing and supportive.

What I want someone who is HIV negative to know about me:
I'm really just like them in the regard that I want to live a happy and healthy life surrounded by the people who love me. HIV is a disease like any other...with proper treatment and personal health I can live like anyone else!

What I want to tell young people who say HIV can't happen to them:
As long as there are people out there who believe having HIV means they can't be loved, and don't disclose their status as a result...even the safest, most cautious people are at risk of infection!
